Idea from: Colored eggs
This week-end we drove to Boston to spend Easter with our son, Sean, and his family. Knowing we have such a short time here in the USA, we are especially grateful for the time we have to spend with them. We were fortunate that both our granddaughters were having softball games on Saturday, so we were able to watch them both. Their dad coached both teams. I really give him credit for stepping up and coaching the teams. Not all parents can or are willing to volunteer for this job. We always had our kids in sports. Sports can teach good life lessons and it keeps them busy and out of trouble, assuming they LIKE sports. One daughter wasn’t sports-minded, so she did other things. Let’s face it also gives grandparents a way to enjoy the “talented” grandchildren! See below:
Easter Day was lovely, too. Many of Andrea’s (our daughter-in-law) family were there and we always enjoy their company, too. Sean and Andrea cooked a wonderful dinner. I contributed my latest Pinterest experiments to the menu. See below.
We are lucky to have 11 great grandchildren. The two we saw this week-end are below. Family is tops on the list of things we will miss in Ecuador.
